The June Outer Worlds Nintendo switch release date As port creator Virtuous has branches in Singapore and China, in February the Nintendo switch edition of The Outer Worlds was postponed due to the continuing coronavirus (COVID-19). The pandemic is ongoing, but the Turn port has a new release date this June.
The Outer Worlds will be released on June 5 for Nintendo Switch, which will be distributed as both a digital download and a physical cartridge. Upon launch day, an external patch would require 6 GB of room, so higher quality textures and more enhancements to functionality will be included in the physical edition not originally intended. In October 2019, the Alien Worlds first appeared at Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Before the purchase of Microsoft, the game was being produced so it isn't certain whether a future follow-up for the consoles would also be made accessible or only on Xbox so PC platforms. Given the break, The Outer Worlds had already managed to ship 2 million copies by February. The shorter role-playing shooter was strongly inspired by the Fallout series — for which Obsidian produced Fallout: New Vegas — and earned a warm reception. In GameSpot's review The Outer Realms, Edmond Tran was especially fond of the game's plot, setting, and art design.
