Today I am working on building the Start Menu to intro of the game Killing Evil. Here is a sneak peak. In a coming video I will release gameplay footage as well as some ideas I am playing with. In the game Shenmue there are scenes where sequences play and you are called to click a button within a certain amount of time. I am building a system that will allow this to happen in my new game called Killing Evil.
Further, you will be able to play the game in First Person. So, there will be two styles implemented into one game. Further, I want to add some detailed shots of the environment controller in Killing Evil the game. In this western setting you are in an environment that changes, from sun up to sun down. I am still trying to figure out how to make Nighttime special and extra spooky. Some ideas are coming to life. I am excited to get the first area done to then place some of the fun here. :)
If you are using Unreal Engine to make games. UE4 just released Downtown West Modular pack and it looks phenomenal. It will be fun to try some game builds using this pack.
An early idea and visual map of the town that takes place in the UE4 game I am calling Killing Evil. It's worth sticking around for the end on this teaser if you dare. In later videos I will show some highlights of the mines that the monsters will be in. You will be in the caves using dynamite to blast through areas that collapsed. Then you will need to kill the evil inside to free people of the town.
The beginning of Killing Evil starts out with the main character looking for water, shelter and food. However, the character runs into a puzzling situation when the town is empty yet looks like they have not been gone long. The character stocks up and finds clues to the hell he is about to embark on in Killing Evil the game for PC and VR.
Again... I am deleting a game... LOL. I spent months on it. Yet... It just did not have the feel, vibe and appeal I was looking for. So.. I renamed Psycho Circus. However, after some more playing with the map I realize that changing the name to Killing Evil was now changing my entire outlook on how to continue with the new re-vamp of my game.
Thus... now I deleted the entire project. There was a monster battle in there I never released. It was pretty good. Yet... I think deleting it all and starting over on a new project will be helpful. Further, I learned a lot to build, edit, code blueprints. I am a bit down because I could not make it work. I got major writers block and the entire feel just felt off... I could not make it work... So... Here's to a new project and new year.
Bye Psycho Circus for now. Like Hadron. I may revisit these later on when I have more money to implement proper animation, voice acting and so on..

Psycho Circus is not dead. The name is. The new name of Psycho Circus will be Killing Evil so long as there are no issues with others owning this games name.
So far it looks as though I am the only one to have the name so... Killing Evil will release a new alpha starting in a few weeks. Where it will then begin beta testing all over again. Never give up on your dreams. Never stop trying. Loss, failure is apart of life. I just wonder when success is apart of life too? Is success only measured in subjective realities? Maybe... but my subjective reality of how successful I want this game to be is not asking a lot. Rather, just enough to live on and build new games for people to play.
It was fun to build. I am looking at ways to build Twin Motion into my games.
Today the Game Universe became partners with Steam Works. Where most of the Game Universe titles will be published.
The current title in development is being called "Psycho Circus". However, some ideas have changed and the name of this title may change to Hunting Evil or Killers Inside among some others I am considering for a title change.
Psycho Circus is becoming something very different and very cool. The story line has changed through testing and implementation on Game Jolt. The newest plot and version will land on ITCH.io soon!
